This Northern Circuit safari takes you through Tanzania’s most iconic parks, offering a blend of luxury and unforgettable wildlife experiences. Starting in Arusha, you’ll visit Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and baobab trees, before exploring the scenic Lake Manyara and the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, home to the Big Five and the Great Migration. Your adventure continues to Ngorongoro Crater, a stunning natural wonder filled with diverse wildlife. You’ll stay in luxury lodges, including Gran Melia, Lemala Mpingo Ridge, Four Seasons Safari Lodge, and Ngorongoro Melia Lodge, with all meals, game drives, and transfers included.

Day By Day

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you'll go through customs and meet your Active Planet Safaris driver, holding a sign with your name. After a warm greeting, you'll be transferred to Gran Melia Arusha. Once checked in, you can freshen up after the flight and enjoy dinner at the hotel. The rest of the evening is yours to relax and unwind.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park – Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. This park, known for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees, offers fantastic wildlife sightings, especially during the dry season when animals congregate around the Tarangire River. You'll have a chance to see lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and abundant birdlife. In the late afternoon, head to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park – Full Day Game Drive

After breakfast, you'll drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Known for its diverse ecosystems, this park offers dramatic scenery, from the Rift Valley escarpment to the lake itself. Expect to see elephants, hippos, giraffes, and the famous tree-climbing lions. After a full day of game viewing, you will head to your luxury lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Game Drive

After breakfast, you'll embark on a scenic drive to the Serengeti National Park through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The vast Serengeti is home to Africa’s iconic wildlife and the annual Great Migration. You'll have a game drive en route, spotting the Big Five and much more, before arriving at your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti. The park is teeming with wildlife, from lions and cheetahs to elephants and buffaloes. You’ll explore different areas of the Serengeti, discovering its incredible landscapes and wildlife. In the evening, return to your luxury lodge for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, you'll enjoy a picnic lunch before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival at the lodge, enjoy breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater from your luxury accommodation. The evening is yours to relax before tomorrow’s adventure inside the crater.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

Today, you'll descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, and hyenas. After an incredible day of wildlife viewing, you’ll head back to Arusha and be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
