Day 1: Arrival and Initial Ascent
Arrive at Arusha National Park and transfer to the trailhead to start your 4-day private hike. Begin your ascent through lush forested paths, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot diverse wildlife and vibrant plant life. Spend the night at your first camp, where you'll relax and acclimate to the altitude amidst the natural beauty of the park.
Day 2: Trek to the Saddle Hut
Continue your trek as you move through varying landscapes, from dense forest to open moorland. Reach the Saddle Hut, situated at a higher altitude to aid in acclimatization. Take in stunning panoramic views of the park and Mount Meru’s rugged terrain. Enjoy a well-deserved rest at the hut, preparing for the summit challenge ahead.
Day 3: Summit Push and Return to Saddle Hut
Rise early to tackle the final ascent to the summit of Mount Meru. As you climb, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking sunrise views and the rewarding experience of standing atop Tanzania’s second-highest peak. After taking in the summit's panoramic vistas, descend back to the Saddle Hut to rest and recover from your summit adventure.
Day 4: Descent and Departure
Enjoy a final descent through picturesque landscapes back to the park gate. Reflect on your achievements and the incredible journey as you complete your trek. Transfer back to Arusha or Moshi, where you’ll conclude your adventure with a sense of accomplishment and lasting memories.
