Day By Day

Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast, drive approximately 126 kilometers from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park, carrying lunch boxes for a game drive. Lake Manyara is renowned for its diverse wildlife and stunning scenery. The park, covering 330 square kilometers, features up to 200 square kilometers of lake when water levels are high. It offers excellent bird-watching opportunities and is home to elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and the elusive tree-climbing lions. Activities such as canoeing, bird watching, and photography are popular here. Enjoy your lunch box in the park before heading to Kitela Lodge, your luxury accommodation less than an hour's drive from Lake Manyara.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, pack your lunch boxes and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Known as “Africa’s Eden” and considered the eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the crater is a prime location to see the Big Five—rhino, lion, leopard, buffalo, and elephant. Other wildlife includes zebra, hippo, wildebeest, and hyena, with birds such as flamingoes, geese, storks, and vultures. Return to Kitela Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Tarangire National Park - Back to Arusha

After an early breakfast, head to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. Named after the Tarangire River, which is the primary water source during the dry season, the park is known for its large populations of elephants and diverse vegetation. Enjoy game viewing and bird watching, with the opportunity to engage in cultural visits and nature walks. After a packed lunch, drive back to Arusha for your departure or to your lodge.
